sauna by the lake

My summer holiday last year was partly in Sulkava. Sulkava is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Southern Savonia region. This was taken at the Suklava Holiday centre.
It is very common for camping and small cottage rental areas to be equipped with a sauna hut by the lake/sea. People like to alternate between a dip in the lake and then sitting in the hot sauna. Sauna in an apartment block

There are five million inhabitants and over two million saunas in finland which equates to an average of one per household. Before you can purchase a sauna, you may need to make sure you have the space and power needed to equip the sauna in your home.

It looks beautiful, but do people use them all year round? The extreme of a hot sauna to a snowbound lake might be too much for the average heart.

It would certainly do for me I think ....
